My coupon binder exploded in the grocery store parking lot last Tuesday.

A gust of wind caught it just right, sending 200 clipped coupons flying across three rows of cars. Has anyone found a better system that doesn't involve chasing paper in traffic?

Accordion files are a step up, but the elastic bands wear out fast (mine snapped after a few months). Going fully digital was the real game-changer for me. Most store apps let you clip coupons right on your phone, and they just scan at checkout. It cuts out the paper chase completely, plus you never forget your binder at home. The only downside is you miss out on some manufacturer coupons from the Sunday paper.

The_stella's file idea sounds solid, but my husband just tapes coupons right to his forehead.

I switched to a small accordion file after losing a whole sheet of rain check slips. It has those elastic bands to hold the sections shut, so nothing flies out. Maybe it's just me but I haven't had a paper chase since.
