My coupon app trial saved me more than my old email list

I used to just sign up for store email lists for deals, but last month I tried the Flipp app to compare flyers. I saved $42 on my grocery trip at Kroger because it showed me which store had chicken on sale and matched a digital coupon I missed. The app finds the deals instead of me digging through my inbox. What's your go-to method for finding food discounts?

Forty-two bucks is a solid win for one trip. Does Flipp actually show you deals from the store you're already in, or do you have to plan your whole shop around which store has the best prices that week?

Man, that's so true. It feels like we've hit a point where the old ways of finding deals just don't cut it anymore. I used to clip paper coupons, and that felt like a part-time job. Then it was checking ten different store websites, which was just digital clutter. These apps that do the cross-checking for you are a game changer. It's like the difference between looking up a movie showtime in a newspaper versus having an app that just tells you the best nearby option.

But those apps just sell your shopping data anyway.
