Tried a new way to track my daily tasks and it backfired in a good way

I decided to write my three main goals for the day on a sticky note instead of using my phone app. By lunch, I had already crossed off two things, which never happens. I think seeing it on my desk all morning kept me focused, but I also felt less stressed about the list. Has anyone else found that a simple paper list works better than digital tools for them?

Crossed off two things by lunch? That's insane... I'm lucky if I remember what I wrote down.

Man, it's all about the tiny wins. I saw someone put "make bed" on their list just to cross it off. For me, if I write "reply to nora_lewis" right now, I get to mark it done instantly. It tricks your brain into feeling like you're rolling. Suddenly, doing the bigger stuff seems possible because you're already on a streak.

But what if crossing off tiny tasks just makes you good at doing tiny tasks? It feels like progress, but you might just be avoiding the real work that actually needs focus. That momentum can be fake if it never leads to the hard stuff.

Totally get that feeling of losing track. Try keeping your list stupid simple on a sticky note right by your computer. The act of writing it out by hand makes it stick better than typing. Then you can't ignore the blank lines staring at you all day. Start with just three small things, even if one is just drinking a glass of water. Crossing off anything, no matter how small, builds momentum fast.
