My cat figured out how to open the pantry door last Tuesday

I came home from work and found a bag of tortilla chips shredded all over the kitchen floor. He had pawed the handle down somehow. Now I have to put a baby lock on it. Has anyone else had a pet learn a new trick like that out of nowhere?

My neighbor had a Lab that figured out lever handles in like 2 days flat. I always thought people were bein dramatic about smart pets but now I get it. Two months ago my dog Buddy watched me open the fridge once and now he can nudge it open with his nose if I forget to lock it. Caught him licking the butter dish clean last Tuesday. Never woulda believed it if I didn't see it happen.
