Switched from pencil to ink for my commute doodles - total game changer or disaster waiting to happen?

Used to always sketch in pencil on the bus so I could erase mistakes, but last week I grabbed a fineliner by accident and now everything has this raw, permanent energy I kind of love. Has anyone else made a sudden tool swap and stuck with it, or did you go crawling back to your old way?

Started doing the exact same thing with a cheap Pilot G2. Now I can't go back because the line just feels more alive or something. Pencil's still nice for planning but for actually drawing, ink makes you commit and it shows.

I started doodling on receipts with a Bic pen from the pharmacy and suddenly my stick figures looked like they had attitude. Now I just carry pens around like a weirdo waiting for something to draw on.

My buddy started drawing with a cheap ballpoint and it changed everything for him too.
