The $35 leaf blower that lasted one fall season
Bought a cheap leaf blower last October and it gave out after three uses, now I'm raking the whole yard by hand in Texas heat. Any budget brand that actually survives more than a single autumn?

My buddy Mike bought the same kind of cheap blower from a big box store, and it died mid-leaf pile in November. He took it apart and the plastic gear inside just crumbled, no way to fix it without buying a new one. He ended up borrowing his neighbor's old Toro for the rest of the season and that thing was like 15 years old, still ran fine. Now he just waits for the clearance sales in spring and grabs a name brand one for half price. Probably the only way to go if you don't want to spend $200 upfront.
