That free VPN I downloaded last year was selling my browser history

I installed a free VPN to test a client's network setup and left it on my personal laptop for 8 months. Found out during a security audit that it was logging every site I visited and selling the data to ad brokers. Anyone else have a free VPN surprise you with hidden data collection?

So you're telling me @faith_carter waited eight whole months to check on something? That's like me ignoring my car's check engine light until the engine literally catches fire. I get it, life gets busy, but at some point you gotta wonder if she was just hoping the problem would magically solve itself. Maybe she was testing if it was a real issue or just a figment of her imagination. Either way, that's a level of procrastination I can actually respect, even if it's completely reckless.
