My bank keeps texting me links and I finally asked them to stop
I got a text last Tuesday claiming to be from my bank with a link to "verify a $412 charge." I called the number on the back of my card instead, and the rep told me they send those texts all the time. That is the exact thing every security guide tells you never to click, and my own bank is training me to click it. How is anyone supposed to spot a fake when the real ones look identical?

Wait, your actual bank sends those "verify a charge" texts with links? That is nuts, they are handing scammers the playbook for free.
