Hot take: password managers were a game changer for me last week

I always thought they were overkill until I got locked out of my bank account on Tuesday. Had to reset 8 passwords in one day and realized I kept using the same weak ones. My buddy Matt showed me how his Bitwarden setup works and I caved. Now I sleep better knowing my accounts aren't relying on 'Fluffy2020' anymore. Anyone else switch later in life and feel dumb for waiting?

Wait, is it really that serious though? Like yeah getting locked out sucks but I've just been using a notebook for years and it's fine, you know? I feel like people act like you're gonna get hacked the second you reuse a password or something.

Bitwarden is the one that finally got me to switch too lol. The free tier is honestly all most people need and that's what sold me. Used to keep a sticky note under my keyboard with all my passwords on it, which is terrifying to think about now. Now I just let it autofill everything and my brain is free to forget all that stuff.

Oh I read somewhere that like 80% of data breaches come from weak or reused passwords. That's what finally scared me into getting a password manager. Your sticky note story cracks me up though, I had a similar system with a post-it on my monitor at work. Bitwarden really is the best though, I love that I can use it on my phone and computer for free.
