Three years of ignoring my file naming system finally bit me last month
I run a small digital product shop on Creators Hub, and last month I had to resubmit 47 assets because I couldn't tell which version was final. Three years ago I set up a simple system with dates and tags, but I got lazy and stopped using it around week two. Spent a full Saturday digging through folders named "final_v2" and "really_final_3" just to find the right audio files. My customer was waiting on a royalty pack I promised by Tuesday, and I had to send them a half-baked version while I sorted it out. Never again. Anyone else have a bad habit of ignoring their own organizational rules until it costs you time or money?

One lost Saturday doesn't sound like the end of the world" until it happens every week and you're losing repeat customers who remember the half-baked version, not your excuse. That Saturday could've been spent growing your shop, not fixing a mess you made yourself.

One lost Saturday doesn't sound like the end of the world to me. You had the files somewhere, and you sorted it out by Tuesday, right? The customer got their pack, even if it wasn't perfect. I've seen people lose actual sales because their site crashed or their payment processor screwed up. That's a real problem. Digging through old folders for a few hours is just part of running a shop, happens to everyone eventually.

Wait, you sent a half-baked version to a paying customer and think that's fine? That's wild to me, they paid for a finished product.
