Hot take: I count on writing prompts for my weekly writing group, but the generator we use keeps suggesting 'alien coffee shop' plots (it's funny once, not every time).

Read an article last week about how these AI tools latch onto patterns. The writer mentioned a prompt tool that kept pushing pirate themes no matter what you typed. It's like they get ONE idea that works and just recycle it forever. My buddy in a writing group had the same thing with time travel plots every single week. Makes you wonder if the code is just copying itself. Kinda frustrating when you need fresh material.

Wait, did you just casually mention an alien barista? That came out of nowhere in a chat about broken AI. Okay but that actually proves the point, right? Like some system probably once mixed up a coffee order prompt with a sci-fi writing prompt and now it just keeps serving up cosmic lattes. It's the same as that pirate theme loop, just with little green men handing out espresso shots.

Honestly those AI prompt things get stuck on the weirdest loops. My office printer's help menu once suggested the same "paper jam in tray 3" fix for a network error for like a month straight. It's like they find one vaguely working idea and just beat it to death. Tbh your alien barista probably serves better coffee than my break room does though. Ngl, that would get old super fast for a writing group trying to find new ideas.
