Update: whole salon switched to mixing bowls with lids, here's why

After losing three color jobs in one week to product drying out mid-foiling, I grabbed a lidded bowl from the supply closet at work. Used it for a full Saturday at the Aveda shop near 5th and Main, and the formula stayed wet for a solid 40 minutes longer. That convinced me to buy six for my kit, but the clip-on lids still drip when I tilt them. Has anyone else found a brand that seals without that mess?

The drying thing is SO real. I remember one time I was doing a full head of highlights on a bridal party and opened my foil packet drawer to find everything crusty and useless. My client had to wait an extra twenty minutes while I remixed. She was chill about it but her mom kept checking her watch like a hawk. I ended up using those little plastic sauce containers from the deli for a while, just poking a hole in the lid for my brush. Not pretty but worked until I found the right setup.
