PSA: I stopped doing roller sets on wet hair and started doing them on dry hair 3 tries ago
I fought this for a while because it felt wrong, but the curl holds so much longer and the set takes me 20 minutes less, has anyone else here switched their roller timing and never gone back?
Switched about a year ago and same thing, never went back. The big thing for me was sectioning smaller than I thought I needed to. Like 1 inch sections max, and I hit each one with a little water based leave in first so it has some grip but isnt soaked. If you wrap too much hair per roller on dry hair it just slides off by morning. Also dont skip the cool shot at the end, that sets it way better than air drying. Takes me maybe 15 min now vs 40 before.
Used to roll my eyes at the whole cool shot thing, figured it was just hype. Tried it once and yeah, it actually holds way better. The smaller sections tip is huge too, wish someone told me that a year ago.
