I bought a $40 'professional' color remover kit online that was a total bust
Saw an ad for this kit that promised to strip dark color in one go without damage. Used it on a client with box black dye, and it barely lifted at all. Ended up having to redo the whole process with my usual products, which took an extra two hours. Has anyone found a color remover that actually works for stubborn dye?

Wait, they charged you forty bucks for that, like @the_alice said?

Was the client's hair actually damaged though? Sometimes these things are more about saving time than saving hair.

How often do we get sold a solution for a problem that doesn't really exist? I see this everywhere, from extra car repairs to fancy phone plans. It's easier to convince someone they need to fix something than to admit the simpler, cheaper option might be fine. That pressure to always be doing something "productive" can really mess with good judgment.
