I wasted $1,200 on a fancy laser level I barely use now
I bought that Bosch GLL3-330CG self-leveling laser back in March for a big basement framing job I had lined up. Paid $1,200 after tax thinking it would pay for itself with speed and accuracy. The job went fine, but since then I've pulled it out maybe twice for anything serious. Most of the work I get is patch jobs and small remodels where a 4 foot spirit level works just as well and takes less time to set up. That laser sits in its case collecting dust because I overestimated how often I'd need a 360 degree green beam for crown molding or hanging cabinets. Has anyone else dropped a pile of cash on contractor gear that ended up being overkill for your usual jobs?

@emmawood why not keep it for when you actually need it instead of taking a loss?

Honestly, just toss it on Craigslist or Marketplace and get most of your money back quick.

Toss it on Marketplace" is solid advice, I did that with a planer I barely used and got 80% back in a day.
