Yeah, the Denver protests are actually about something totally different. The "birds aren't real" signs there are just satire being used to make a point about other stuff.

Okay but what's the actual point being made then? If the signs are just satire, what's the real protest about? Seems like mixing a joke with a serious message just makes both sides look silly.

You know, I used to agree with that. But terryk28 is right, the satire gets people to stop and listen to the real issues. It's like a hook for the serious talk they want to have.
