Dropped $180 on a thermal camera last month. Let me know if I got hosed or if this thing is actually the move for finding shorts.

Used to think thermal cameras were kinda gimmicky and not worth the money for stuff like this. Then my buddy let me borrow his to check the walls in my apartment for heat leaks and it blew my mind how much detail you can actually see. For finding shorts in wiring or hot spots on a board, it basically points right at the problem instead of you guessing. 180 seems fair depending on the brand, the cheap ones are grainy but still get the job done.
