The 7:15 AM bus crowd in my city has gotten so quiet lately, it's almost weird.
Last month, I realized that out of 20 people on my regular route, 18 were just staring at their phones with headphones on, which is a huge shift from three years ago when at least a few folks would chat.

Remember what @mark_mitchell said about the school trip. That noise is just people, and we traded it for screens. The quiet feels like a loss.

Ever notice that too? I used to think it was just how things were now, but my bus got way louder last week when the school kids were on a field trip. It kind of made me miss the old noise.

Honestly, it's not just buses. I see it everywhere now, like in waiting rooms or coffee shops. Feels like we're all just in our own little bubbles.
