I left my apartment 22 minutes earlier than usual on a whim and actually enjoyed the walk to the station for once.

I realized the constant rush was making me dread the whole trip, so what small change has made your commute less of a grind?

That's a great point about how a little extra time changes everything. It feels like we're all stuck in this cycle of trying to save minutes but just adding stress. Leaving early turns the walk into part of your day, not just a race you have to run. It makes you wonder what other small pressures we accept as normal when a tiny shift could fix it.

My old boss used to set all his clocks ten minutes fast, which just made him late for everything by a different measure.

Right? It's like we're all playing this weird mind game with time. Like setting your alarm for 7:00 but telling yourself it's 6:50 so you hit snooze, and you still end up rushing. Or how everyone speeds to save two minutes but then just sits at the same red light. We keep trying to trick ourselves instead of just building a calm buffer.
