Switched to a new dive light for a night job in Seattle and it nearly cost me the contract.
I was inspecting a pier piling with a brand new 2000 lumen light, but the beam was so focused I missed a major crack in the shadow. The client's rep on the boat saw it first on the camera feed and pointed it out, which was embarrassing. What's a good wide-beam light you guys trust for close-up structural work?

Switched to a similar light once and had the exact same problem. Felt like I was working in a tunnel. Got a Sola Dive 1200 wide beam after that and it changed everything. The flood covers a huge area so you don't miss details in the shadows. It's my go to for any close up inspection work now.

Wait, is a light really that big of a deal? Sounds kinda extra lol.

A wide beam light for close up work sounds like a total game changer!
