The difference between a local comic shop that hosts events and one that doesn't

My old shop in Akron just sold books and was always empty. My new one in Columbus runs weekly trivia nights and artist signings, and the place is packed. Does having a real community space make you a bigger fan, or is it just about getting the books?

It's just a comic shop, relax.

My Akron shop felt like a library after closing time. The Columbus spot with trivia nights actually makes me want to hang out and buy more books. Guess I'm paying for the fun, not just the paper.

Wait, you had a comic shop that was quiet like a library? That's the whole opposite vibe. Mine's always got people talking about new issues or arguing over who would win in a fight. A quiet shop sounds kinda sad, like nobody wanted to be there.
