Spent 45 minutes hunting for an outlet at a packed café in Austin

Every single table near a plug was taken and I was down to 12% battery. Walked three blocks to a quieter spot near South Congress that had built-in USB ports at every seat. Has anyone else given up on popular spots just to avoid the outlet scramble?

Changed my mind after crawling under a stranger's table for a plug at a busy Houston cafe last month.

Does your laptop ever give you that sad little battery warning sound like it's personally judging your life choices... I swear mine waited until I was 12% too, then started flickering the screen like a dying firefly. I ended up in a weird place behind a laundromat once, just for a working outlet near downtown San Antonio. Took me 20 minutes to find a spot that wasn't the floor or a bathroom stall.

oh my god that's literally my laptop every single day. the moment it hits 15% it starts making that noise like it's personally offended i didn't plug it in sooner. i once literally sat on the floor of a mcdonald's bathroom because it was the only outlet i could find. felt so judged by everyone walking in but hey my screen didn't die so worth it
