Last Tuesday at The Grindhouse turned into a 6 hour work session
I showed up planning to just grab a latte and leave, but the playlist was this lo-fi mix I've never heard before and the wifi actually held up for a zoom call. Has anyone else found a spot that just clicks like that out of nowhere?

wait SIX HOURS? like you just sat down for a quick coffee and didn't leave until almost dinner time? that's wild to me because I can barely last two hours at most places before my phone dies or the vibe gets ruined by someone's loud conversation. but I totally get what you mean about the lo-fi mix and the wifi actually cooperating, that's like finding a unicorn. there's this weird cafe near my dentist that I popped into once and the playlist was all 90s r&b and the tables had actual outlets that worked, I stayed for like four hours just browsing random stuff on my laptop without even realizing it. I still think about that place sometimes even though I've never been back.

Oh yeah I saw a thing online about how certain coffee shops have this perfect combo of decent wifi and good music that just makes you wanna stay forever. @sandraflores you nailed it with that "unicorn" thing, its so rare when everything lines up like that. I had a similar thing happen at this random bakery I went into last week, they were playing some chill indie playlist and my phone charged up fast on their outlet, ended up there for like 5 hours just chilling. Makes me wish more places put actual effort into that stuff instead of just blasting top 40 hits.
