Used to think frozen veggies were gross until I tried roasting them straight from the bag
I always avoided frozen broccoli and cauliflower cause they got mushy. Then last week I tossed a frozen bag of mixed veggies with oil and salt and roasted at 425 for 20 mins without thawing. They came out crispy and way cheaper than fresh, like $1.50 a bag at Aldi. Anyone else had luck with frozen roasting tricks?

You mentioned the burnt on the edges but soggy middle thing - my friend Jenna had the same problem with frozen green beans and was ready to give up. She finally tried spreading them out on a baking sheet with parchment paper and gave them a good shake halfway through, and they came out way more even. Now she's the one telling everyone about the trick.

425 degrees for 20 minutes without thawing? I tried that exact method with frozen green beans and they came out burnt on the edges but still soggy in the middle. Honestly I feel like people overhype this roasting trick when really you just got lucky with your oven temp.
