Spent $2.17 on a bag of chicken thighs from the discount bin and made 6 meals
Last Tuesday at the Food 4 Less in Fresno I grabbed a 4 pound pack of chicken thighs for $2.17 because the sell by date was that day. I figured I'd cook them all that night and just eat chicken for a few days, but I ended up shredding the meat into a pot of rice and frozen veggies and it stretched to 6 full containers. The weird part is the thighs from the discount bin tasted better than the fresh ones I usually buy, way more juicy. Now I hit that bin first thing every Tuesday morning instead of grabbing whatever's on the regular shelf. Does anyone else have a specific day their store marks stuff down, or is it just random?
