My aunt swore by adding a spoonful of peanut butter to ramen
A few weeks ago my aunt told me to stir a spoonful of peanut butter into my instant ramen for a cheap Thai style meal. I thought she was crazy but I tried it anyway with some sriracha and a squeeze of lime. Turns out it's actually REALLY good and adds some protein for almost no extra cost. Has anyone else tried this or got other weird cheap ramen add ins?

Wait HOLD ON peanut butter in ramen?! That sounds absolutely WILD to me. My brain is having a hard time wrapping around sweet nut butter with salt noodles and spicy sriracha. But now I'm actually kind of curious to try it just to see if it's as good as you say.

Oh for SURE it sounds crazy at first, @the_mary, but trust me it works! Just start with a tiny spoonful of peanut butter melted into the broth so it's not too sweet, then add your sriracha little by little til it balances out. I was skeptical too but now I make it all the time when I want a cheap, filling meal that hits different.
