The chatter lounge at my local library went from empty to packed in under a year

Last spring, the weekly meetup in the community room had maybe 5 regulars, but now it's consistently 20+ people every Thursday. The library started promoting it on their social media and partnered with a board game cafe to bring in games. Has anyone else seen a quiet local spot suddenly get popular like that?

Yeah, that reminds me of the little used bookstore by the old train station... it was always dead, just the owner and his cat. Then some college kids started a vinyl listening night in the back corner, and now you can't even find parking on a Tuesday. They didn't change anything about the books, just added that one thing and the whole vibe shifted.

That bookstore on Elm Street had maybe three customers a week before the vinyl thing. I mean, good for them getting more business, but it's not like they solved world hunger. It's just a new trend that'll probably fade when the students graduate. The owner still sells the same old books, the cat still naps by the register, the vibe just got louder for a bit.
