Sounds like survivorship bias tbh. Most dropped bags just make you miss your train and get coffee on your shirt. Real plans beat luck every time.

But what if your plan is to stay open to luck? I mean, I get the coffee-on-the-shirt thing for sure. But maybe the point is just to not be so rigid that you miss a good accident when it happens.
