I spent a whole afternoon trying to scribe a baseboard around a stone fireplace

The irregular rock face had me cutting and recutting for like 4 hours. I finally got it with a cardboard template, but man, that ate up my whole day. Anyone got a better trick for stone like that?

Never look back" is a nice idea but i feel like you gotta check your rearview sometimes lol. Otherwise you might miss what you could learn from it.

Ever think you should just forget the past? I used to agree with @averymartin, but now I see you need to glance back to learn. You can't move forward well if you don't know what you left behind.
