Three nights on a rental pad in the Smokies and suddenly foam is the worst thing ever? @logan236 it's a pad, not a torture device. If your back is that picky maybe bring a camp chair next time and call it a bed.

Oh man, my buddy Tim swore by his foam pad until a trip out west. He woke up after one night on a gravelly spot and his back cracked so loud we heard it from our tents. Said he spent the rest of the trip sleeping on his folded up jacket under his hips.
