Spent an hour trying to get my new tent's rain fly to sit right
Just got the Marmot Tungsten 2P for a trip to the Adirondacks. The main tent went up fine, but the fly kept sagging and touching the inner tent on one side, which is a big no-no for rain. I kept adjusting the guy lines and stakes for what felt like forever. Turns out I had the fly rotated 90 degrees wrong from the start. Anyone else have a simple mistake with a new tent that cost them a bunch of time?

Wrong color grommets" is the classic tent setup trap lol.

Oh man, that reminds me of my first time with a freestanding tent. I was so proud of setting it up fast, then spent 45 minutes wondering why the door was facing the cliff edge. I had to take the whole thing apart and start over because I put the poles in the wrong color-coded grommets. Felt like a total genius.

It's like the universe's rule that pride always comes right before a stupid color-coded mistake.
