Spent 14 months fighting a back injury claim before I got approved

I hurt my back in 2021 moving furniture for a friend and figured disability would be a quick process. It took 14 months, three denials, and finally getting a lawyer who specialized in California disability claims to get anywhere. Has anyone else had a case that got stuck in limbo way longer than it should have?
