My lawyer said to stop sending them every single medical record I had

My SSDI lawyer in Fresno told me last year to only send the big stuff like hospital stays and specialist notes. I kept sending every little doctors visit and it just slowed things down. Anybody else's lawyer give them advice that actually worked?

Heard a judge say too much paperwork just annoys them.

Oh man, 100% yes! Mine told me the exact same thing and I didn't listen at first either. I was sending in stuff like a routine checkup for a cold and a note from my dentist about a cleaning. My lawyer finally called me and was like "please stop, you're burying the actual evidence." Once I stopped and only sent the big stuff like my back surgery records and my psychiatrist's notes, things actually started moving. It feels weird not sending everything, but trust your lawyer on this one.

My lawyer out of Sacramento said the same thing after I sent in a podiatrist note about a corn removal. @sean782 is right about burying the evidence, but also the judges use a system called Bluebook to find specific treatments. Every extra page makes it harder for them to spot the key surgeries or mental health admissions. Once I stopped sending allergy shots and dental x-rays my case actually got a hearing date within four months.
