Serious question, my bullet journal from two years ago is a time capsule of chaos.

I dug up my first bullet journal from two years back. It was full of half finished lists and messy doodles. These days, I keep a clean weekly spread that I actually follow. Seeing the progress feels like a real win. My journal went from a stress source to a peace tool.

You know, that whole "stress source to a peace tool" idea kinda misses the point for me. My messy old journals with the scratched out lists and weird notes in the margins are the real ones, they actually show what my life was like back then. All this clean weekly spread stuff feels like just another performance, like you're making a pretty thing for the internet instead of a useful tool for yourself. The chaos wasn't a failure, it was you actually dealing with stuff in real time. Polishing it all away for a system you can stick to feels like losing the raw truth of what you were going through.

Honestly, same here. Finding my old chaotic pages is kind of funny now.

That line about it going from a stress source to a peace tool really hits home. I used to see journals as just another chore to fail at. Watching someone actually use theirs in a simple, helpful way totally changed my mind on what the point was.
