Bought a nice pen set for $30 and it changed how I use my journal
I spent 30 bucks on a set of four fountain pens from a local stationery shop, and they make writing in my bullet journal feel completely different from the ballpoints I used for years. Has anyone else found that a specific tool made you actually want to journal more, or did it just sit in a drawer?

In my experience, it's not just about the pen itself but the whole cost per use thing that nobody talks about. A $30 pen set feels expensive upfront, but if you use it daily for a year, that's like 8 cents a day to make journaling feel special. The real trick is picking a pen that matches your paper and your grip style. My buddy bought a fancy fountain pen and it sat in a drawer because the nib was too broad for his tiny handwriting, not because it leaked. Your mileage may vary, but I bet that set will pay for itself by the time you fill up that bullet journal.

Bruh my friend Sarah bought a fancy fountain pen once and it was a whole thing. She got this Lamy one for like $40 and it leaked ink all over her favorite sweater the first time she used it at a coffee shop. She was so mad she threw it in a drawer and went back to using those cheap Bic pens from the gas station. So yeah, sometimes the tool just sits there collecting dust, lol.
