Update on that $20 'miracle' windshield repair kit from the auto parts store

I was sure it was a total scam, but a rock chip on my old Civic forced me to try it. The resin actually filled the crack perfectly and it's held strong for over a year now. Anyone have a similar win with a cheap fix you doubted?

No kidding. I was just as skeptical with my truck's chip. That little syringe of goop saved me a fortune. Guess we were both wrong.

Right, so the whole "total scam" thing... yeah, I was in that club too. My brain just refused to believe a twenty dollar tube could beat a three hundred dollar pro job. But seeing posts like this and @jordan_webb's truck holding up makes me feel kind of silly for doubting it. I guess the real joke is on us for overthinking it. We probably could have saved a lot of cash a lot sooner if we'd just tried the dumb goop.
