Swore by name brand trash bags for years until a store brand held up better through a full week of kitchen scraps
My neighbor Janet lent me a box of Great Value 13 gallon bags after I ran out, and not a single one ripped even with coffee grounds and wet paper towels so has anyone else had a cheap product outlast the expensive version?

Oh man, my husband bought a 50 pack of Dollar Tree bags once just to see what would happen and I swear that cheap bag held a whole rotten chicken carcass without even trying. I'm still MAD about the money I wasted on Glad and Hefty all those years. It's like the universe just flipped me off for being a brand snob. The store brands must be using some kind of black magic because they somehow outlast the "premium" ones every single time. Honestly at this point I'm convinced the expensive companies just slap a higher price tag on the same cheap plastic and laugh all the way to the bank while we cry over ripped bags.

I mean I get where you're coming from but I gotta push back a little. I used to think the same thing until I had a cheap bag split on me while carrying coffee grounds out to the bin and I spent 20 minutes cleaning up wet slop in the dark. Those Dollar Tree bags feel flimsy right out of the box, like they're gonna tear if you look at them wrong. Maybe you got lucky with that chicken carcass but I've had way more misses than hits with the cheap stuff. I'll stick with Glad honestly, my trash can isn't a gamble I want to take.
