Showerthought: People keep buying the cheapest tool for a one-off job.
I watched a neighbor spend $15 on a wrench set for a single plumbing fix, then it broke halfway through. That $15 is gone, and now they need a real one. Anyone have a go-to brand for tools that won't quit after one use?

That "real one" you need is probably just another cheap tool you'll use twice.

Sounds like you know my shopping habits a little too well.

I saw a whole article last week about how the average garage has over $3,000 worth of unused tools. Jake might be onto something here, alex307. I mean, I bought a fancy socket set for one project and it's just been sitting in the box for two years now. It's easy to convince yourself you need the pro version of everything. Maybe it's just me but that "real one" feeling fades fast when you realize you don't actually have the skills to use it right.
