My $20 'new' kitchen faucet started leaking after two days

I was in my kitchen in Toledo last Thursday, trying to wash some dishes. I had just installed a budget faucet I found online, and water started spraying from the base. I had to shut off the water under the sink and use a bucket for the rest of the night. The plastic washer inside had cracked completely. Has anyone found a reliable brand for under $50 that actually lasts?
