I finally tried the 'wait 48 hours before buying' rule for online stuff and it saved me $200 last month

How many times have I bought some gadget or weird kitchen tool at 2am only to realize I don't even want it when it shows up? That rule would have saved me from the avocado slicer I used once and the fancy phone stand that just collects dust. My cart is full of stuff that seems like a great idea in the moment. Maybe I should start waiting too... before my apartment gets any more cluttered.

Put stuff in your cart but don't check out. Leave it for a full day. If you still want it tomorrow, maybe get it. I do this and half the time I just delete the whole cart.
