I bought a cheap 'all in one' tool set for a home project and it broke on the second use.

It was a 40 dollar socket wrench set from a discount store. The main ratchet handle snapped while I was trying to loosen a simple bolt on a deck chair. I had to go out and buy a proper replacement, which cost another 30 bucks. So I basically threw 40 dollars away for a tool that lasted ten minutes. Has anyone found a decent brand for basic hand tools that doesn't cost a fortune?

Yeah cheap tools are the worst. Check the return policy and get your money back.
