Warning: a guy at the gas station taught me more about my own lunch break than my boss ever did
Honestly, I stopped at a Shell off Route 9 in Jersey on my break Thursday, just grabbing a $2 coffee and a banana. Some older dude in a work vest was sitting on the curb eating a sandwich out of a paper bag, and he asked if I ever actually sit down during my break or just run errands the whole time. I admitted I basically spend my 30 minutes driving to get food and checking emails on my phone. He laughed and said he did that for 12 years until his back gave out, so now he just sits and does nothing for 20 minutes. Ngl that hit me harder than it should have, so now I'm curious, do you guys actually rest on your break or just do chores?
