Just realized my $12 office chair cushion did more for my breaks than the $300 chair I bought
Two months ago I grabbed a $12 gel cushion off a clearance rack at a Staples in Toledo, and my 20 minute lunch break naps in the break room went from stiff-neck misery to actually restful, which makes me wonder why I bothered upgrading the chair at all.
...I dropped almost 200 bucks on one of those "ergonomic" chairs with the mesh back and lumbar support and all that, thinking my back would thank me. Turns out I still slouch like a shrimp and my neck hurts. The thing that actually fixed my break time naps was a rolled up hoodie I shove behind my neck. Twelve dollars or zero dollars, doesn't matter, the fancy chair was just me throwing money at a problem I didn't understand. I've made that mistake more times than I want to admit. At least the cushion people are honest about what they're selling.
