Just noticed our break room coffee went from decent to dishwater in a month

We got a new Bunn machine at work about 4 weeks ago and at first it made solid coffee. Now every cup tastes like hot brown water. I figured it was just me until three other guys on my shift mentioned the same thing yesterday. Turns out nobody has descaled the thing once since we got it. The maintenance guy said the water here is super hard and the mineral buildup probably started choking the machine after week two. I pulled the top off today and saw a solid white crust around the spray head. Has anyone else dealt with a new coffee maker going bad that fast just from hard water?

Blame the water all you want but your crew probably just forgot how to clean a machine properly the first time.
