Wait, are you talking about the same ferns? Because I've found my Boston fern and my maidenhair need totally different things. I just stick a finger in the soil now, and if the top inch is dry, that's when I give them a drink. Sometimes that's ten days, sometimes it's two weeks.

Tell me about it... I killed so many ferns by being too nice. I was sure they needed constant attention, but I was just drowning them. It's such a relief to finally figure out that they just want to be left alone most of the time. Learning to check the soil instead of the calendar changed everything for me. I'm glad yours are doing better now too.
