I read a thing about leaf propagation that saved my snake plant

Saw this post from a guy in Portland who said cutting snake plant leaves into 3 inch sections works way better than the whole leaf method. I tried it with 8 pieces from one leaf and 5 of them had roots after 6 weeks. Anybody else had better luck with smaller cuttings vs big ones?

WAIT hold on you cut them into 3 inch pieces?? Like just chunks of leaf with no top or bottom? I have killed so many whole leaves trying to prop them, they just rot in the water after like two weeks. But five out of eight taking root in six weeks is actually insane. Idk why but I always thought you needed the whole leaf for it to work, maybe I've been doing it wrong this whole time.

Pieces root faster than whole leaves, kinda like how big plans stall but small steps move.
