I visited a board game cafe in Portland last week and noticed something weird
Every table had at least one person on their phone looking up rules instead of just playing the game. Is this just how people do it now or am I old school for thinking you should learn the game before you sit down?

Right? I saw the same thing at a cafe in Seattle. My group spent half the time on our phones instead of actually playing.

It's frustrating, isn't it... feels like nobody wants to just sit down and figure it out together anymore.
