Unpopular opinion: The hype around that big finale reveal in Season 3 of 'The Signal' actually ruined the whole show for me

I was binging it at a coffee shop in Portland last month and when that twist hit, I just felt cheated because the whole buildup felt like it was deliberately misleading rather than clever storytelling, anyone else feel like that ruined the rewatch value?

Honestly, that twist is what made the rewatch even better for me-it all clicks into place on a second go.

The three episodes before the twist felt like filler honestly, too much setup for a payoff that's just okay. I get why people love it but calling it "better" on rewatch feels like overhyping a predictable shift. It's a show, not a puzzle you need to solve to enjoy.

The setup isn't really filler though, every detail in those three episodes plants something that matters later. Calling it a "predictable shift" misses how the show hides clues in plain sight that most people don't catch the first time. It's fair to enjoy it however you want, but claiming those episodes are pointless just ignores the actual writing craft behind them.

It's like those overpriced hipster coffee shops that look cool but the taste just doesn't deliver.
