Honestly same, I get weirdly satisfying work done with true crime as background noise. That combo really does clear the headspace.

What is it about true crime podcasts that makes boring tasks so much easier? I totally get the same feeling, it's like my brain just zones in on the task. Last week I folded two baskets of laundry while binging a serial killer documentary, and it felt like no time at all. Even when I'm paying bills or organizing papers, having that dark storytelling in the background keeps me focused. Maybe it's the contrast between the mundane stuff and the intense stories that does the trick.

Seriously, the STORY just pulls you in and makes boring stuff go faster. I cleaned my whole apartment during a serial killer podcast and it felt like nothing. Having that CRAZY tale in your ears totally changes how you see dull tasks.
