PSA: I bought a $25 bearing press for my headset and it's the best money I ever spent in my home shop.
I used to tap them in with a mallet and a block of wood, which always felt sketchy, but this little tool from Park Tool makes the job feel professional and I haven't messed up a bearing cup since.

Funny how peace of mind has a different price for everyone, @sam_thomas. For some it's a fancy alarm system, for others it's just paying the extra ten bucks for the overnight shipping so you stop checking the tracking page every hour. That mental tax of worrying about something is the real cost.
